CLEVELAND-Do you want to get into a shoot-out with Black Bart, chase the Bumpus’ hounds, or maybe experience the soft glow of the infamous leg lamp gleaming in the window?

Then we triple dog dare you to take a trip to West 11th street in Cleveland’s Tremont neighborhood.

There, nestled in the narrow streets and turn of the century homes, you will find an iconic yellow house. It’s the home of the Parker family… the fictional foursome who shared a magical holiday with us in “A Christmas Story.”

Parts of the iconic 1983 movie were shot right here in Cleveland.

The home was originally built in the late 1800s, and was recently restored to the era of Jean Shepherd’s family classic.

Tours of the home are given daily, seven days a week, all year long. You can sit in the Parker’s living room, walk through the kitchen, and even play in Ralphie’s backyard. Just make sure you don’t shoot your eye out!

After you see how Ralphie lived, you can also check out the museum right across the street. It’s filled with movie props, costumes, and stories about the movie, the home, and how Jean Shepherd’s story was brought to life.

And no trip to this holiday house can be complete without a trip to the gift shop. The shop was recently expanded, and has everything you would ever want to buy, including Lifebuoy soap, t-shirts, hats, and of course, leg lamps!
