CLEVELAND– Cleveland police have released photos of the vehicle they said was involved in the hit-and-run death of 5-year-old Israel Thornton.

The photos were taken by a camera on the school bus as the suspect vehicle passed it. (See photos above.)

The vehicle is a mid-sized, four-door SUV seen next to the school bus.

It’s a newer model vehicle with a rounded front end, tapered rear window, no luggage rack and either white, silver or light grey in color.

Police said Israel was walking to catch the school bus on Friday morning at the corner of W. 37th Street and Denison Avenue when he was hit.
