AKRON, Ohio — Ticket information has been released for LeBron James‘ welcome home celebration set for next month.

According to the city of Akron, the city and the LeBron James Family Foundation will hold the free public event Friday, Aug. 8, at 7:15 p.m. It will take place at InfoCision Stadium-Summa Field on the University of Akron’s campus.

Admission to the event will be free. But anyone planning to attend must have a ticket. Tickets will be available starting at 10 a.m. Monday through Ticketmaster only.

“LeBron has always remained dedicated to Akron and his Wheels for Education kids. Our entire community is happy to celebrate with him and welcome him back to his hometown, Akron, Ohio,” Akron Mayor Don Plusquellic said in a release. “We plan to do that in a big way by celebrating those aspects of our community that LeBron himself values most.”

The release states that the event will focus on “LeBron’s positive impact on his hometown.” LeBron founded the Wheels for Education program and the I Promise campaign in the Akron area.

The event will actually be shared with LeBron’s 3rd annual Family Reunion and nearly 2,500 Wheels for Education participants.

“The event will celebrate LeBron’s return to his hometown, and more importantly, the many kids and families in Akron that have been positively impacted by his philanthropic efforts,” the release states.”

Gates to InfoCision Stadium will open at 6:15 p.m. Parking will be available in lots surrounding the university’s campus.
