CLEVELAND, Ohio — It’s a sports lover’s paradise.

More than 45,000 sports collectors from all over the planet will be gathering for the 35th annual National Sports Collectors Convention at the IX Center for the five-day event that began Wednesday.

Plus, more than 90 high-profile athletes will be coming by to sign autographs.

“Everyone from Cal Ripken, Jim brown, Jim Thome, Johnny Bench. Football, basketball, baseball it’s just a who’s who hall of famers and Cleveland greats,” said the event’s Ray Schulte.

If it’s sports-related, you’ll find it at this collector’s convention.

They have everything from signed helmets and jerseys to pictures and bobble heads. One hot item that is sure to attract attention is Johnny Manziel’s college jersey, which will be auctioned off.

“This is Johnny Manziel’s Texas Aggie home jersey from his 2012 Heisman trophy winning season. We expect this possibly to hit 6 figures which would set a new record for a college football jersey,” said Schulte.

Another piece of high-priced sports memorabilia that’s kept in a safe is a baseball bat that Babe Ruth used more than 80 years ago.

“We have a 1932 Babe Ruth game-used bat that was used in the 32 season, which was really where Ruth actually pointed to the outfield saying he was pretty much gonna hit a home run.
And what’s also key was that this bat was used during the season in 1932 were the Yankees won the world series,” said Daniel Wulkan, an auction director.

The Babe Ruth bat is not for sale, but if you would like to get your hands on it you are going to have attend the convention so you can get it in your hands and take a swing but you are going to have to wear special gloves.

By now the sports world knows Lebron James is coming home and Upper Deck made a special mosaic with tiny pictures which follows James All-Star career.

“What we have here is a special Japanese tradition called the “Tegada” this whole piece were you see this is Lebron James hand print in ink with his own unique stamp and his signature and there’s only 26 in the world of these pieces,” said Gabriel Garcia, a brand manager.
